Ornaghi & Prestinari are among the most prominent representatives of a young generation of Italian artists. They create sculptures, paintings and installations whose works play on the coexistence between parts. Ornaghi & Prestinari approach involves a very practical experimentation with materials. For them, the work is born in the material and is not separable from it. This is the result of a sensibility to the material and its many possibilities, achieved through both ancient and contemporary techniques.
Valentina Ornaghi and Claudio Prestinari have both studied at Politecnico di Milano, and afterwards moved to Venice to specialize in Architecture and Industrial Design, respectively. They work together as a duo since 2009. Their work has been exhibited in international institutions.
