ARCO MADRID 2026
Booth 9A04
For ARCO MADRID 2026, Parra & Romero presents a booth conceived as a spatial and curatorial project that continues a line of research initiated at last year’s fair, where the stand explored the relationship between art and architecture through a tribute to Sou Fujimoto’s House N.
This year, the proposal takes as its point of departure the work of Venetian architect and designer Carlo Scarpa, particularly the Brion Tomb complex. Circular geometries, framed openings, and a precise dialogue between material & void inform an exhibition environment structured around visual axes and spatial rhythms.
Conceived as a space for slow movement and contemplation, the architecture operates as a curatorial device rather than a neutral setting, guiding the visitor’s experience and activating relationships between the works. In doing so, the stand reinforces the gallery’s ongoing curatorial approach, exploring the intersection of art, architecture, and spatial thinking.
Within this setting, the gallery presents a carefully articulated selection that brings together historical figures, established voices, and recent additions to the program. Key international artists such as Heinz Mack, Helmut Federle, Ian Wallace, Robert Barry and Turi Simeti are shown in dialogue with artists closely linked to the gallery, including Spanish artist Almudena Lobera, Callum Innes, Claudio Parmiggiani, Florian Pumhösl, Philippe Anthonioz and Wolfram Ullrich.
The presentation is further expanded through recent incorporations to the gallery such as Jean-Marc Bustamante, Ibizan artist Laura de Grinyo, Luísa Jacinto, the duo Ornaghi & Prestinari, and Vera Lutter, reinforcing a proposal that balances historical depth, curatorial coherence, and openness to future developments.
